How I came to see the image.

I started by photographing whitewater—looking for the exact moment motion and light met. In college that turned toward architecture and landscape, then into black-and-white and noir. Now the work lives in fashion, portrait, and boudoir. I’m after images that feel close and unguarded, the kind that stay with you after you look away.

I make limited-edition prints and coffee-table books, and I take on commissions and collaborations. I spent twelve years shooting in Beverly Hills and Hollywood; I’m based in the Sierra foothills.
